US Naval Sea Cadets Corps
Dixon AS-37 Division
A Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps in Central Indiana
Who are the we?
Sea Cadets are young men and women aged 10 to 18. We are supported by the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard, and Cadets are able to train on naval bases and other military installations. Our Cadets meet twice a month on Saturdays in Lafayette Indiana for drills, where they gain unique and valuable experiences that incorporate hands-on learning and teamwork.

Leadership Development
Our program stresses self-discipline, service to others, accountability, and patriotism. At young ages, our cadets are given leadership opportunities by staffing summer training events, planning unit drill sessions, and teaching others.

Experience Military Life
Our Cadets get a taste of the military lifestyle, wearing Navy uniforms, drilling monthly in with their home unit, and going to summer camps structured around military life.
While cadets gain an appreciation for the sea services and military life, there is no requirement to join the military. However, if cadets do decide to enlist or enter a military academy they will be able to transition better than those with no military training background.

New Opportunities
Sea Cadets are given the chance to pursue their interests and do things many would never dream of. Our diverse program includes seamanship, aviation, security, medical, STEM, SCUBA, submarines, photography, culinary, special forces training, and an International Exchange Program.
HONOR
We teach our Cadets to conduct themselves in the highest ethical manner. They are expected to be honest, and truthful, take responsibility for their actions, and keep their word.
Commitment
Cadets learn to care for the safety and well-being of their shipmates and use teamwork to
improve the quality of the Sea Cadet Corps. They learn how to commit themselves to a goal and finish it, and to never give up on their dreams.
Service
Sea Cadets are given many oppurtunities to help their local communities. They place the priorities of our country, our navy, and our shipmates above our own; building courage, instilling trust, and creating hope for those we serve and those we serve with.
RESPECT
Our Cadets show respect toward all people without regard to race, religion, or gender. They are taught to treat each individual with dignity and value every member of the USNSCC.
WHO CAN JOIN?
All prospective cadets must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents, meet our minimum age requirement (ages 10 through the completion of high school), and be students in good academic standing.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), it is the policy of the Sea Cadets that no qualified person will be excluded from participation in, denied the benefit of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination by the USNSCC simply because that person has a disability. The Sea Cadets will grant reasonable accommodations where necessary to permit full participation.
